Donate/Volunteer

Thank you for considering a donation or to volunteer your expertise and time to the Taraben Master School (SWES). Every donation and volunteer makes a real difference and for your commitment and generosity we are truly grateful.

Our fees are charged at a minimum and can cover only the day to day running of the school. For everything else we endeavour to find opportunities from individual donors as well as collaborations with business, both local and national.

Your help will ensure a child remains in education, that the opportunities they are presented with build confidence, curiosity, imagination and expose them to a new world of learning and critical thinking. In this way with your help we hope to empower each child to dream of a better future, and give them the tools and the skills to reach out and grasp it.

There are many ways to support us:

We are always looking for expertise and practical assistance whether participating in our volunteer programs (to assist with additional English practice, sports, or cultural activities) or assisting on a project basis to initiate new capital projects or upgrade our inevitably ageing building and playground.

Financial donations towards specific projects. Please contact us through the form below.

Professional services to provide new facilities, services or equipment.

Volunteer programs. Volunteers can help our students, from 2nd to 10th standard, with homework and revision. For our primary students there are remedial classes which run from 11am-12.30pm and for secondary students remedial classes run from 1.30pm-4.30pm every day. Volunteers can choose to teach the subject in which they are proficient, at the level they choose and at the timings that suit them.

Free-ships, our ‘sponsor a child’ program for children who due to financial problems cannot afford to keep their child in education.

Fund raising campaigns.

We are also currently looking to:

Upgrade and modernise our science lab for Physics, Biology and Chemistry to extend to H.Sc. (Skill India).

Upgrade our sports facilities as well as the playground and playground surface to include floodlights, netting and basic goal posts.

Establish a dedicated library and reading room, to include two trained librarians, shelving and seating.

Run courses in vocational skills such as electrical, plumbing, paramedic, as well as additional computer classes in MS Office, Excel, etc.

Remedial classes in maths and english.

Additional supervised trips to business and retail organisations to encourage our students to acquire a wider world view.

Thank you.
